HUED came about almost like a fourth child. Unexpected, exciting, and filling a space I never knew needed filling. I'm a creative soul who consistently needs to create + imagine and dream. And as a mother of three, I became awakenly aware that my children needed that too.

As life ticked on, it got more chaotic. A beautiful chaos, but none the less, something needed to change. I began to realize that the amount of toys my children had accumulated was starting to give me anxiety. Mostly plastic, obnoxiously colorful and easily breakable in the hands of my little minions, I had had enough.

In my late collage years, I had the pleasure of teaching art under the Montessori method.  And recently with the influence of my children attending forest school, things were starting to fit into place. I knew I wanted our home learning and play environment to return to simple textures + colors + structure, while also respecting the natural world we are celebrating.

And so Hue Dough was created, perfected in my home for my family, and now available to yours. A beautiful natural sensory dough made for finding our creative roots.
